On the second floor of the of the Memphis Eye and Cataract building we are proud to present the MECA Laser and Surgery Center. Serving patients from all over the world, our surgery suites are equipped for the latest micro-surgery techniques. The Surgery Center provides our patients with the best ophthalmic surgical care available in an efficient and friendly manner.
MECA Laser and Surgery Center was the first freestanding surgery center dedicated to eye surgery in the state of Tennessee. Opened in 1985, the surgery center is Medicare approved and accredited by AAAHC, Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Heath Care.
Design, equipment and staffing at MECA all contribute to the high quality and efficient surgical care. Patients arrive just steps from the entry to the Surgery Center and the warm comfortable surroundings alleviate the anxiety and confusion patients often experience in hospitals or larger outpatient departments.
